Look_1 Concept
The first look is inspired from the darkness and the vivid shapes of the drawing. I also wanted to specify that I am dreaming and I am not aware that I am dreaming. Also the feeling/ something is growing exponentially is portrayed by bulky smocking pattern.
Look_2 Concept
The second look is about I am aware that I am dreaming. I am struggling to wake-up from the dream. Since I am still dreaming I wanted to use black as the main colour, while mixing those colours which are extracted from the drawing "The Persistence of Memory".
Look_3 Concept
I wanted to portray that I have been woken up by the dream, yet the memory of the dream persists. White is used as the main colour to show that I am awake. The black lines are embroidered to portray the persistence of the memory.
Second year mini project miniature garments mini collection (November 2023)
This project is inspired by the modern art movement "Surrealism". The project was exciting since we had to prepare pattern pieces for each mini garment and sew them. I had to prepare all the boards physically including pattern pieces and mini garments. Yet I wanted to share my work and I made some quick digital boards.
